Umbilical Hernia

An Umbilical Hernia occurs when a part of the intestine or fatty tissue pushes through the abdominal muscles near the belly button (navel). It’s especially common in newborns and infants, though it can also occur in adults due to increased abdominal pressure from obesity, pregnancy, or heavy lifting.

In infants, the condition is often harmless and may resolve on its own. In adults, surgery is usually required to prevent complications.
